The Conference will take place at Universidad Católica de Santiago del Estero (U.C.S.E.), Alsina and Dalmacio Vélez Sarsfield We invite you to attend the “Using the Language to Learn and Learning to Use the Language: What’s Next in Latin America” Conference organized by APISE (Asociación de Profesores de Inglés de Santiago del Estero). The Conference aims to provide a forum on new EFL methodology, curriculum development and new models to keep us and our students up with the times. The Conference will give us the opportunity to consider what has been achieved so far and what new directions are available now, on the verge of the issuing of a new education law, on issues such as: - EFL Methodology - Schools curricula at different levels - Bilingual education curricula - Technology in EFL - Team teaching - Motivation - Linguistic competence - Linguistic diversity The annual FAAPI conference is the most important event for English Professors, teachers and trainees. This three-day event will promote the discussion of theoretical and practical issues related to how we, as Argentineans and Latin Americans, stand regarding Content and Language Integrated Learning. It is essential for us ELT professionals to avail ourselves of this forum to carefully consider CLIL as a possible option for our regional needs. Cronograma: Fecha de realización:
El XXXIII Congreso Anual de la Federación Argentina de Profesores de Inglés se realizará en Santiago del Estero, del 18 al 20 de septiembre de 2008. Lugar de realización:
Las actividades tendrán lugar en las instalaciones de la Universidad Católica de Santiago del Estero, Avda. Núñez del Prado y Alsina. Duración del encuentro:
El encuentro se desarrollará en tres jornadas de trabajo, durante los días 18, 19 y 20 de septiembre de 2008, con una duración de 30 horas reloj, es decir, 45 horas Cátedra Destinatarios:
El Congreso estará dirigido a Profesores de Inglés de todo el país y de países vecinos, así como a alumnos avanzados de Profesorados de Inglés de la República Argentina Disertantes Se contará con la presencia de expositores destacados en el ámbito de la enseñanza del Inglés y de disertantes de renombre, tanto nacionales como extranjeros, entre ellos:
