Speaker: Juan díaz
Teacher on English Language and Literature, a translator of English, and a Master candidate in Applied Linguistics at Facultad de Lenguas (School of Languages), National University of Córdoba. He has been a teacher of Reading Comprehension (ESP) in the engineering courses (electronics, telecommunications, aeronautics and computing) at IUA (Aeronautical University Institute). He has also been chief instructional designer and coordinator of the Proficiency Test at the School of Engineering. He held the chairs of Language, Grammar and Linguistics at Siglo 21 University in the Licenciatura de Lengua Inglesa. He has worked as a counselor and facilitator for e-learning, blended and face-to-face courses. He has trained staff at Siglo 21 University, the Language Department of IUA, IDIPE Empresas (in-company training institute), the German School, the National University of Villa María, and the National University of Santiago del Estero in instructional design of reading comprehension material and the teaching and testing of receptive skills. He has also published reading comprehension teaching materials and courses in both English and Spanish (English Access, Flora y Fauna, El Edén Posible magazine, etc.). He is the author of E-Learning English: Strategic Reading and Listening for Business (ISBN being processed), a series of three e-books for business English addressing the two receptive skills of reading and listening comprehension from a strategy-based instructional approach. At present he is working for Trainex Group, an Instructional Design Company working mainly for the Royal Dutch Shell Company as Project Manager, Coordinator and supervisor of blended learning developments based on e-learning formats.
